Zaaz Mission Control – The Company's Operating Hub, Inside Teams
What It Is
Mission Control is where Zaaz runs its week. I built it as one internal hub and packaged it as a Microsoft Teams app, so the team opens it as a tab and signs in with their Teams account. It brings together the meeting log, the weekly plan of record, a live operating board, brand and partner surfaces and a weekly email composer, with access split into tiers so each person sees only what their role allows. On top sits an AI assistant that answers from the hub's own content and refuses anything above the asker's tier. The screens in this video are real, with all internal data blurred.
Features
Runs as a Microsoft Teams app with personal tabs and a bot, signed in through Teams single sign-on
Four access tiers, each with its own signed session
Meeting log with decisions and action items
Weekly plan of record and a live operating board
Personal "my day" panel built from the Teams login
AI assistant over the internal knowledge base, scoped to the viewer's tier
Weekly email composer and hand-built SVG charts
Technical Highlights
Built for Teams
A Teams app manifest with static tabs and a bot, Teams SSO exchanged for a server session, and a content security policy that lets Teams frame the app.
Tiered Access That Tests Itself
Every page belongs to an access tier, and a test fails if a new page ships outside the tier model or exposes data on the public tier.
Assistant Grounded in the Hub
The assistant's knowledge base is generated from the hub's own content at build time, each chunk tagged with the tiers allowed to see it, and evaluated for grounding, refusals and leaks.
One Hub, Many Sources
Data flows in from SharePoint through Microsoft Graph, from Notion and from ClickHouse, refreshed on a schedule.
