Puxa Ficha – Public Records on Brazil's 2026 Candidates

Next.jsReactTypeScriptSupabasePostgreSQLVercelPlaywrightGSAP

What It Is

Puxa Ficha (roughly, "pull the file") gathered what Brazil's 2026 candidates had in the courts, in their asset declarations, in their campaign accounts and in office, and published it as one public profile per candidate. The rule was simple and strict: every number traces back to an official source (the electoral court, the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, the federal Transparency Portal), and the source is shown next to the number. The site is now a frozen archive of election day, October 25, 2026, with the full dataset available as open data.

Features

Side-by-side comparator for any 2 to 4 candidates

Presidential quiz that matches your answers to candidates, with party spectrum and the literal source of each position

Rankings and pages by state and by office

Email alerts for the candidates you follow

Embeddable profile cards for newsrooms and a press kit

Open data downloads in CSV and JSON

Technical Highlights

Every Number Has a Source

Data comes from the electoral court (TSE), the Chamber, the Senate and the Transparency Portal. Asset totals have to add up to the court's own total or the profile doesn't publish.

A Check That Caught Its Own Mistake

On August 18, 2026 the reconciliation found 46 profiles showing double the declared assets because of a parsing error on our side. They were fixed, and the fix stays in the public commit history on purpose.

Collection at Scale

199 scheduled collection routines wrote 83,864 collection records over the campaign, tracking 63,649 news items from 2,598 outlets and 161,092 bills.

Privacy by Design

Donor tax IDs are salted and hashed before storage and never reach the browser. The database runs on Supabase with row-level security and explicit grants on every migration.

Tested Like Infrastructure

8,562 automated tests, a strict content security policy and secret scanning in CI, on Next.js 16, React 19 and Vercel.
